The 'Treasure Box' College shop

Our LEAP Hub Retail group has an on-site shop called the 'Treasure Box'. Students undertake work experience daily - Monday to Friday, helping them to develop their knowledge and understanding of the Retail industry and potential career pathways.

During their time working in the 'Treasure Box' shop students are able to develop customer service skills, money handling and stocking shelves growing their confidence in the shop on-site helps with their careers in the future after leaving college.

The shop is open to staff and students throughout the College to access during morning break and lunchtime, they offer a wide range of options from confectionery and instant food to gifts and jewellery.
 
The students designed the layout, colour scheme and name of the shop - they also conducted a College wide survey to identify what staff and students would like to be stocked and available to purchase.
