I am a Supported Intern, work placement is an important part of my course and I attend work placement once a week at the Foxhunt Harvester. When I am not at work placement, I do Maths, English and work readiness throughout the week along with course work units.

Every Friday I will go on placement to the Foxhunt Harvester where I do the following tasks preparing the bar, making drinks, taking orders to tables, cleaning tables and preparing them ready for the next customers to sit down.

On Friday mornings I always get up early to have a shower, have my breakfast and make my packed lunch ready for the day. I leave my house at 8am to come to Pinewood, where I will meet my job coach Carlos and we will then go to the Foxhunt.

I start my work placement at 10am until 2pm, throughout the day I check in with Carlos where he will ask me how I’m getting on and what task I am doing, and I would report to the manager Mitch if there is a concern I have or if I’m stuck with anything. He will if required show me how to do it, the staff there are very friendly and helpful they help me when I get confused about things.
