Exciting News: Bulls in the City Art Trail Project Takes Off at QAC!

We're thrilled to announce an exciting update on our Bulls in the City Project—our Bulls are officially under construction!

ABOUT THE BULLS IN THE CITY TRAIL

Bulls in the City is a charity art trail coming to Birmingham in 2025, featuring 40 large bull sculptures and 85 smaller calf sculptures inspired by the iconic Bullring bull. The project aims to raise vital funds for the Birmingham Hospice while celebrating creativity and community spirit.

This year's trial will run from Wednesday 16th July – Sunday 14th September 2025, at the end of the trial, each sculpture will be auctioned off to raise money for Birmingham Hospice.

After an inspiring round of voting by staff and students, we're delighted to reveal our chosen theme:

"This Is Me" – Celebrating Identity and Strengths

This empowering theme invites our students to explore and express their uniqueness, passions, and strengths. Students are encouraged to creatively showcase the following:

  • Self-portraits highlighting their individuality.
  • Artworks that will capture their hobbies, families, dreams, and emotions.
  • Symbolic expressions of their personality and feelings, inspired by the Zones of Regulation colours.

This exciting project is a fantastic way to boost self-esteem, encourage self-expression, and spark meaningful conversations about identity.

Get Ready for the Design Competition!

Students, it's your time to shine! We have invited all our talented students to participate in the design competition, which will be judged in the week commencing 7th April—we can’t wait to see their incredible creativity!
