QAC successfully achieves prestigious Investors in People Award
Queen Alexandra College (QAC) is celebrating after being presented with the highly-coveted Investors in People award.
The Investors in People Standard is a framework of best practice, awarded to well-run organisations which demonstrate good management practice with a high emphasis on best practice, people management and development.
Commenting on the award, Hugh Williams, College Principal said: “QAC is extremely pleased to have achieved the Investors in People Standard. We have worked hard to improve our people management and engagement processes which clearly reflect our Strategic Plan commitments to have a skilled, flexible and fulfilled workforce.”
“Learning and Development has always been a key feature of QAC and, over the assessment period, the Investors in People Assessor found noticeable improvements throughout the College. These included the establishment of a Staff Voice Group and the embedding of college values linked to the Staff Code of Conduct and a Manager’s Charter which helped with influencing and shaping the work of the college. We look forward to using this excellent achievement as a basis to strengthen all areas of our people management processes.”
Since 1991 Investors in People has set the standard for better people management. The accreditation has been the sign of excellence and a great employer. For more information about Investors in People, visit their website here.
