The College's 'QA Collective' music group took to the stage at the iconic London venue as part of the annual Music for Youth Proms two-day musical extravaganza.

Proud parents, friends and staff were among those present for the glittering show, with thousands of young musicians contributing to the musical celebration! There were some nerves during the build up to the event, but all of the group gave the performance of their lives and received a huge ovation from the audience.

Keith Donovan, QAC Music Wellbeing Facilitator, commented: "They absolutely smashed it! This was an incredible opportunity and experience for our students and Community Services clients to shine - we are so proud!"

This latest achievement follows on from the group performing live at several events held at Birmingham Symphony Hall and Town Hall, through the College's links with B:Music. During July, QA Collective were chosen to play in the main auditorium at the world-renowned Birmingham Symphony Hall as part of Music for Youth's Primary Live concert. Music for Youth were so impressed by the group's performance that they were invited to join the line-up and play at the Royal Albert Hall, which they all did with aplomb.

Held on Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 15 November 2023, two special evening concerts showcased full-scale symphony orchestras alongside Irish dancers, Japanese Taiko drummers and some of the best young jazz bands and singer-songwriters from across the UK. This year's theme centred on a national campaign #thankyourmusicteacher to celebrate inspiring music teachers and highlight how music brings us all together.
