QAC governor 'Blind Dave' Heeley presented with a Tandem Bike assembled at iCycle!

Our college governor, Dave Heeley, known as "Blind Dave", was presented with a brand new West Bromwich Albion themed tandem bike during the recent football match played between the Baggies and Manchester United at the Hawthorns Stadium. The bike was assembled by the team at iCycle, one of QAC's enterprises.

The bike will be used as part of Dave’s next fundraising challenge and was presented to him at half-time during the game. Our Business Development Manager, Colin Darling, represented the College as well as iCycle during the presentation on the pitch.

Avid Albion fan Dave will be joining 30 other fans as part of the Baggies Bike Challenge 2016. He will ride 180 miles over three days on a tandem bike, between Norwich and West Bromwich from the 17th to 19th March. Dave’s previous achievements include being the first blind person in the world to have completed the ultimate endurance challenge of 7 marathons in 7 days on 7 continents and the team at iCycle are extremely proud to have been able to support Dave with his latest challenge!
