QAC Community Services complete Superhero Tri powered by Marvel

A big well done to our QAC Community Services superheroes and sidekicks who took part in the Superheroes Series (powered by Marvel) event which took place on Saturday 20 August!

After a long minibus drive down to Dorney Lake (the home of Eton College's rowing team) the team were keen and ready to get on with their challenge. They donned their masks and capes and joined the warm up before taking on the super-tri spring challenge of a 150m swim (or canoe), 3km bike and 1km walk/run. Thankfully the weather was great and the water wasn't too cold, and there were plenty of smiles as everyone crossed the final finish line.

Everyone had a great day taking in the atmosphere, with some of the team even meeting and chatting with TV presenter Clare Balding and 2012 London Paralympic Gold Medalist Richard Whitehead MBE, which was a fantastic way to finish the day.

The team did amazingly well, with everyone working together to complete the challenge and raise over £800 for QAC Community Services, which shows their superhero powers. There's still time to sponsor the team if you want to via our Give Penny fundraising page.

A big thank you to Superheroes Series and Zurich Community Trust for inviting us to be part of this fantastic event - we're already looking forward to seeing you in December for the Winter Wonderwheels event!
