QAC Celebrates National Apprenticeship Week!

As we celebrate National Apprenticeship Week, we are excited to highlight the incredible journeys of three former apprentices who have successfully completed their apprenticeships with us at QAC. It has been truly inspiring to watch them grow and develop in their careers. Briony – Marketing and Communications Assistant
Briony, who now works in the Marketing department, reflects on her apprenticeship journey:
“Since joining QAC in January 2023, I have developed my skills immensely, gaining in-house experience to start my career and seeing the changes to the Marketing team which forced me to take more of a forward role in the team. In November 2024, I was offered a permanent position as a Marketing and Communications Assistant and earned a distinction at the end of my Level 4 Marketing Executive apprenticeship in December. Through the support at QAC, I was able to succeed in both areas and work in a great team!”

Ewan – Finance Officer
Ewan, now a member of our Finance team, shares his experience:
“Since joining in October 2022 as a finance apprentice at QAC, I've gained invaluable knowledge and experience that have significantly shaped my career. As a result of the skills and support I've received throughout my apprenticeship, I've secured my new role as Finance Officer. This new role has provided me with more experience and additional tasks that benefit the company. My team has taught me all aspects of finance, and their encouragement has been essential in my development. All of this is thanks to QAC's support and commitment!”

Seun – IT Helpdesk Technician
Seun, who now works in the Resources Department, reflects on his personal and professional growth:
“When I first embarked on this apprenticeship, I was filled with scepticism as it was an entirely new experience. However, as I connected with my team both in the workplace and within the apprenticeship group I discovered a wealth of support from my mentors, colleagues, and manager. Their encouragement inspired me to embrace challenges and dive headfirst into learning. This motivated me to soak up knowledge from every available source. Ultimately, my dedication paid off as I achieved Distinction in all units and assessments. Now, as a fully-fledged IT Technician, I recognize that my journey of learning is continuous, and I eagerly embrace every opportunity to grow alongside my exceptional team.”

In addition to celebrating our former apprentices, we are delighted to introduce one of our newest and current apprentices, Mia S., who works within the Finance Department and is currently pursuing an AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

Mia S. – Finance Apprentice
Mia shares her experience so far:
“My apprenticeship is helping me gain hands-on experience while studying for my AAT Level 3 qualification and is enabling me to develop a variety of skills. It allows me to apply my knowledge to real-world tasks, such as posting invoices and performing account reconciliations. QAC is highly supportive, and it provides opportunities to build my confidence and allows me to have time to study to ensure I keep up with my learning.”

National Apprenticeship Week is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate and show appreciation for both our former and current apprentices. Their dedication, hard work, and passion continue to make a difference at QAC, and we couldn't be prouder of their achievements!
