LEAP Hub Retail student secures voluntary work  

LEAP Hub Retail student, Kieron, has successfully secured voluntary weekend work with a local charity shop.

As part of his programme at QAC, Kieron undertake work experience daily in the on-site shop called the 'Treasure Box'. This experience has helped him to think about potential career pathways, further develop knowledge of the retail industry, and have the confidence to apply for external roles in his own time.

Kieron started his volunteering role in a busy charity shop at the start of the year. Duties include sorting stock, hanging clothes for display and pricing up new items. He is also able to use his customer service skills by interacting with the customers that visit the shop. Kieron commented: "I enjoy volunteering at the shop and being independent!”
