Functional Skills and GCSE in English & Maths

At QAC, English and Maths are embedded across all areas of study.

The majority of students develop their functional literacy and numeracy skills while at College.

This progress is achieved through formal teaching and integrated learning. Qualifications achieved range from Entry Level up to Level 2, which is equivalent to GCSE.

We also provide structured support and the opportunity to resit GCSE for those who have reached a grade 3 (equivalent to grade D) at school, alongside their main study programme.

Each qualification is assessed and verified independently.
