Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
At Queen Alexandra Charity, we have high expectations of each other with regards to QAC values, British values and in addition, 'FREDIE' values. 'FREDIE' values are what we celebrate as Leaders in Diversity and we interweave these values throughout the QAC experience. At QAC we not only aspire to always uphold the underpinning principles of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) but want to continue to build on our recognition as champions and leaders in this field. The QAC charity thrives on and celebrates its rich and diverse college and community and all of us at QAC are fully committed to ensuring that our stakeholders further benefit and flourish as a result.
Our EDI Charter (attached below) reflects the aims of our organisation and the ways in which we can all contribute to a positive environment in which to live, learn and work. We have also included our EDI policy and EDI annual report for your information (attached below).
In October 2021 QAC were awarded Leaders in Diversity from the National Centre for Diversity. The award recognised the charity for going above and beyond in their commitment to the FREDIE values of fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion and engagement. We still continue on our journey to maintain and further improve upon the highest standards that were recognised back in 2021 and our focus on being leaders in EDI remains a key strategic focus.
Over recent years, QAC has improved practices and experiences which benefit all stakeholders and is fully committed to diversity, equality and inclusion. We not only aspire to always uphold the underpinning principles of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), but aim to be recognised as champions and leaders in the field.
Never complacent, the QAC charity continues on its journey to be the best leader in diversity it can be. Across all of the charity's service areas - College, Community, Residential and Enterprises, we will continue to improve by listening to staff, students and clients, making QAC an influential and recognised voice as a leader in diversity both now and in the future and look forward to working with and learning from others on their journey.
Gender Pay Gap Report (attached below)
Queen Alexandra Charity is committed to a fair approach to pay and reward for all staff, irrespective of gender and reflective of our Values. Gender pay reporting legislation requires organisations with 250 or more employees to publish statutory calculations every year showing how large the pay gap is between their male and female employees.
