‘Team QAC’ take part in Great Birmingham 10K Run

The city of Birmingham held its first 10K run, sponsored by Morrisons, on Sunday 3rd May with more than 6,000 entrants taking part in the inaugural event - from veteran runners to novices, children and famous faces including Game of Thrones star Jerome Flynn.

‘Team QAC’ entered a total of 29 runners with a wide range of ages and abilities including staff from the college, students and family members.

The day may have started with rain but the runners got their chance to shine alongside the sun as the clouds parted and the crowds of supporters cheered them on in the city centre. Everyone crossed the finish line with relief and smiles, with our earliest finisher (Stuart) crossing the line in just over 39 minutes!
