QAC Supported Intern runs his own food collection for Smethwick Foodbank

One of our college's Supported Intern recently went above and beyond the duties of his work placement. This particular student, who likes to keep a low profile, is currently enjoying an administrative work placement at a church which runs a food bank.

Inspired by their work he decided to do his own food collection, placing donation boxes at both the college premises and Mencap which neighbour the Supported Intern offices at the College's Pinewood Campus.

Sarah, the Foodbank Co-Ordinator at Smethwick CAN said "we are so grateful for the support of QAC's Supported Intern who is currently working with the church. It was so kind of him to organise the collections and we are blown away with how much he managed to collect. It will all be hugely beneficial to those who visit the food bank
