Independent Board Member – QAC Enterprises
Queen Alexandra College is a charity and a thriving specialist provider of education, training and independent living for people with visual impairment, autistic spectrum, specific learning and other disabilities. We are primarily located at our campus in Harborne, Birmingham with properties and businesses in other areas of the city.
Our trading subsidiary QAC Enterprises is looking for a strategically aware, motivated and dynamic business leader to join its Board as a voluntary independent director. The role of the independent director is primarily to provide independent objective oversight and constructive challenge to the executives and governors appointed by the college as directors, whilst also advising on outside business factors.
QAC Enterprises has a number of trading activities: All Formats transcription services, Sight Village and Autism Central exhibitions, Coffee Junction coffee shop, iCycles cycle shop, Umberslade nurseries and a cane sale business.
We would be particularly interested to hear from people with marketing and business development experience.
