Former student causes a stir at Coffee Junction!

We are delighted to announce that former student, Matthew, has been shortlisted for a Smethwick Community Award following a nomination by staff over at Coffee Junction, where Matthew currently volunteers.

These awards honour individuals who go above and beyond to make a difference to the community of Smethwick with the ceremony itself taking place on Friday 18th March at The Prestige Suite in Smethwick.

Matthew worked really hard during his work placement at Coffee Junction and on completion was offered the opportunity to continue as a volunteer. Staff at Coffee Junction commented that Matthew has shown outstanding work and improvements in his abilities, making them very proud to have him as part of their team.

Coffee Junction and our other College enterprises offer students the opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a familiar environment, whilst dealing with real goods, services and customers.
