Colleges Week 2023 - Daily Theme: Health and Social Care

Thursday's #CollegesWeek2023 theme is Health and Social Care, so we are highlighting our LEAP Care and Vocational Health and Social Care programmes.

Current QAC student, Fatemeh, completed her Laser Level 1 introductory LEAP Care qualification last academic year, and has now moved onto our Supported Internship programme, based at our Pinewood Campus.

During her time on the LEAP Care programme, Fatemeh completed her work placement at a care home where she was given a range of duties including cleaning rooms, doing laundry, having conversations and playing games with service users.

Another of our current students, Lucy, gained her Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care last year and has also moved onto our Supported Internship programme.

Lucy has recently started on a placement at the Bear Bookshop supporting an early years stay and play group, as she would like to work with babies and young children when the time comes to leave QAC. 

Alongside her programme, Lucy is also a student ambassador and helps at our Open Day events for potential students, meeting and greeting visitors to the College.
