'A Day in the Life of...' employer-led student sessions
Students enjoyed meeting with Lorna, from the Disability Support Project in Redditch, when she recently attended the College to share valuable insights into her role as a volunteer, and how it has played a significant role in her personal journey. The students engaged with Lorna, asking questions about her daily routine, the tasks she undertakes, and the inspiration behind her decision to become a volunteer.
Lorna's visit provided our students with an understanding of the benefits and impact that volunteering can have on both individuals and communities. Through her firsthand experiences, she highlighted the value of volunteering, encouraging our students to consider this meaningful pathway for themselves and see it as a potential next stepping stone in their own Next Steps journey.
A big 'thank you' to Lorna for taking the time to visit our students.
