The Partially Sighted Society

The Partially Sighted Society is an independent charity who supports anyone, with any type of visual impairment, their family members and carers.

We sell aids and equipment, plus clear print material which, together with donations, fundraising and legacies, allow us to fulfil our charitable commitments to provide free Enhanced Low Vision Assessments, free information and support (face to face or via the telephone).  We are also a registered NHS Eye Test Centre.

We offer a ‘Friends Of’ scheme for just £20.00 per annum.  This not only helps towards our free service, but also enables the Friend to attend our groups free of charge.  Our monthly Support Group is very popular and members enjoy a different activity or speaker each month, then there is our History Club, Knit and Knatter and ‘A cuppa with …’, which invites different health professionals to sit around a table and talk about their service in an informal setting.

The Partially Sighted Society also provides large/bold/wide stationery to students and individuals around the UK.  We have our own print room and also provide aids and equipment that will help a visually impaired student meet their potential.

Here, at the PSS, we pride ourselves on never turning anyone away.  We will always try our hardest to find an answer for any query or issue someone may be having.

You can contact us via telephone on 01302965195 or email at reception@partsight.org.uk or via our social media pages @partsight on twitter and search The Partially Sighted Society on Facebook.  Or find out more at www.partsight.org.uk.
