Oorion
OOrion is a startup dedicated to empowering visually impaired people by providing them with an accessible app, helping locate, identify and precisely find elements (objects and texts) in their surroundings. The app is downloadable for free on the App Store and requires no other element than the camera of the smartphone.
The app offers five key features: the first allows users to precisely locate and receive guidance toward specific objects, while the second provides the same feature for text. Additionally, two other features offer an instant and precise description of the elements in the user’s environment. Recently a brand new feature has been added enabling users to add and track their personal items within the app.
OOrion also offers businesses the ability to enhance the accessibility of their venues through a partner space, making their locations more accessible for visually impaired users by virtually tagging the environment.
