LOOK UK

LOOK is a small but mighty national charity supporting visually impaired children, young people and their families to thrive.

We believe that nobody should cope alone. Our pioneering peer mentoring programme creates community and connection amongst visually impaired young people. By carefully matching mentors and mentees our partnerships foster a safe nurturing space for younger mentees to talk about their experiences and learn from the lived experiences of our mentors. This year alone we’ve supported over 200 mentoring partnerships and trained 45 new mentors!

We foster community and connection among visually impaired young people and their families to boost confidence and enhance access to social, educational, and employment opportunities. This is achieved through a range of events, including in-person wellbeing activities, support groups for parents/carers, expert-led talks, and engaging online forums.
